Bridal Gown and Accessories

I held off as much as I could but now, I'm very happy to share to everyone the magnificent creations of Veluz Reyes and Niko Hernandez of Manila.

The gown is made from piña cocoon in offwhite. Piña materials are authentically Filipino and I wanted to use that to somehow give Canadians a glimpse of what we have back home and on a personal level, to support the industry we have in the Philippines. The embellishments were flat beads and swarovski crystals.

The shoes, purse, hair accessories, the pillows for rings, unity coins, cord (we used this during our rehearsals) and the brooch for my ladies were skillfully crafted by Niko Hernandez of Seven Shoes. And yes, my shoes has a hint of pink! :)

Love my gown!!!! :)

Shower pictures (August 26, 2006)

My sisters -Matron of Honour and Secondary Sponsor threw me a really wonderful, fabulous and fun "Rooms of the House"-themed wedding shower! :)

We only had a total of about 12 adults and 4 kids and some 'party-crashers' (hahaha) but the games prepared by my hostesses were plentiful - everyone got more than a fair share of their loot! :)

The shower colours were in periwinkle blue. Heather, our cake artist, made a "Shower of blessings" take on the cake - and how do you best represent the 'shower' than with an umbrella/parasol design??? :P

Thanks to my sisters, Josephine and Christine for putting together a great bridal shower! To my mom and Gerald for helping prep the food and of course, putting up those lovely decors!!!

Tux Measurements

It's the groom's turn! :) Here, you will see Branden having his measurements taken by Jordan of Black & Lee. It was thorough yet painless. :)

Trial Make up with R (Harvest Oak View NE)

Here is the final verdict. We found a make up artist and she's half-filipina, half-vietnamese! Yay!!! Thanks to Franceaz for pointing me to her direction! :)
