Thank Yous

This section is our own way of expressing gratitude to people who have helped us in our wedding preparations as well, for being a very important part of our lives. :)

Salamat (Thank You)...

To our parents...

Carmencita (Estela) and Rodolfo (Rudy) - for your guidance, modelling and inspiration. You have instilled in us the value of education and faith - two things, which by far, our greatest treasures we keep. We are indebted to you for your love - unconditional and constant.  (Mom and dad - leftmost in the picture)

Sharon - for your affection and helpful ways.  Branden grew up with a caring and kind heart and is a very 'sensitive'  guy - a definite plus for a gentleman.  His love for family is undisputed - and we have you to thank for that. Challenges did not stop you from giving us a good home. We value you for this.

Doug and Barb - for your presence and guidance.  We are grateful for the wisdom you share and for extending us love.  We thank you for providing for our needs and for being a strong support during some difficult times.

To our siblings...

The Tan sisters - I'm blessed with having 3 wonderful sisters.  For the times when we were fighting over the phones or who will go first to the bathroom, to helping each other out over silly heartaches to providing the support system when we transplanted ourselves in Canada - you are all appreciated. :) Thank you for agreeing to be in the wedding party and for loving Branden as a brother. :)

The Nystrom boys - Life is so much easier when I have two brothers to lean on... Even if I have been in constant wrestling match with Kurt and Jeff when we were younger or we had to fight over the last piece of chicken over dinner - nothing beats the love I have for my 2 older brothers.  Thank you for being there for me!

The Cardinal boys - Jodi and Kyle - you both are appreciated! We might not have the time to hook up and sit down or play together because of the different life paths we are in, trust that you both are important in my life and we hope to see you on the 16th of September next year.

To our friends...

Apart from our families, we have you to thank for helping us become the people we are. As not all of you can come over to be with us on our day, we thought it's fitting to also share our thanks by writing a small blurb here just for you guys and gals.

Jamerac Meets Good Peanuts - are my HS friends and are the people who knows me inside, out - apart from my biological sisters. The bond that we formed transcends all time and distance.  (Not in picture: Jojo & Iya)

University Friends

University of Santo Tomas (Manila) - how lucky I am to find people like you who, despite our very varied opinions and lifestyles, we managed to maintain close friendships and ties. You all are missed!

MTED (Management Training and Executive Development) - Ayala Life

MTED = Brilliant co-workers who showed me that true friends can be found in an office setting! I had the privilege of knowing several batches of multi-talented, best in class people  with my MTED family.  I still refer to this group as my standard for work ethic, camaraderie, excellent leaders and most of all - loyal friends.  We worked hard and played hard; loved hard and hurt hard. But most of all, once a Cardinal, always a Cardinal! (hahahaha - sorry, inside joke!)  *** This has NO REFERENCE to Branden's stepbrothers, fyi.***

AHCI friends

I don't forget my roots. And I owe it to the people who believed in me and my capabilities - these are the first folks who taught me that "toxic" can be used as an office-word, that "spillover and valuation" are important statistical words in our industry, and most of all MRI and DOB are not one and the same. (hahahaha). To my nurse/doctors/med tech friends, to my first mentors Pam and Josef - who would ever think I'll work with actuarial whizes when I hate Math to begin with?? to RPS who showed me in great lengths what challenges can be - and win over them (and for encouraging me to go to the Great White North!)... You all are special and we wish you can spend our special day with us!

ALNP (Ang Lingkod ng Panginoon/The Servants of the Lord) + Single Women (JORC)

I guess I should paraphrase this and refer to the smaller unit of my good friends as the Tayuman Group. Friendship is a cause and effect when you serve God. And I'm very blessed to have wonderful, caring, servant-hearted friends who, despite our distance now - still manage to keep the outreach alive - in the small things we do. Mother Teresa of Calcutta is our inspiration - and her charity works, the place we support.

Apart from the ALNP, I give my heartfelt thanks to the Single Women Ministry of the JORC whose constant support and prayers have helped me into what I am.  Sr. Baby was our mentor and guide - truly, a gifted and spiritual professional - but most of all, a servant of the Lord. :)

Our friends in the faith - a heartfelt thanks to you especially to our facilitators: Greg, Peggy and Jane.
